Touch,
texture,
personality.

The fabric decides how a character feels in the hand and how it reads from across the shelf.

Which fabric for which part?

A quick comparison for planning. Every choice is confirmed on a physical sample before anything is final.

Felt

Hats, bodies, boots, ornaments

Flat, saturated colour and clean cut edges. Holds simple shapes well and keeps small ornaments crisp.

Check at sampling: surface pilling after handling, and how the colour compares to your reference under shop lighting.

Wool-blend knit

Long hats, scarves, reindeer bodies

Visible stitches make a character look handmade. Fair-isle or stripes add pattern without printing.

Check at sampling: stitch scale on small sizes, and whether long hats need an inner support to hold their bend.

Natural linen

Angel dresses, wings, neutral bodies

A quiet, natural texture that lets one bright accent colour carry the range.

Check at sampling: fraying at seams and edges, and how much colour variation natural fibres show between batches.

Woven plaid

Bodies, scarves, bows

Instantly seasonal. Works best when the check repeats one or two colours from the rest of the range.

Check at sampling: pattern scale against the character’s height, and whether checks should line up across seams.

Three short
buying guides.

What to decide before you ask for samples.

Illustrative blue knit, natural linen and tartan fabric macros 01 · PALETTE

Choose one hero colour, then give it room.

Start with the colour that should lead at shelf distance. Add a softer neutral for bodies and one small contrast for trim or stitching.

  • One hero colour per range, not per character.
  • A neutral for at least half of the fabric area.
  • Send a physical swatch or a printed reference for colour matching; screens vary.

Describe the feeling, not just the colour.

Say where the range will sit and what customers should notice first: the softness of a knit, a bold plaid, a calm linen.

  • Two or three photos you like, with what you like about each.
  • Where it will be sold: shelf, gift shop, online.
  • Packaging, hang tag or label needs in the notes field.
Illustrative gnome, reindeer, angel and ornament from one coordinated range 03 · RANGE

Repeat the thread; vary the character.

A range feels coordinated when every family shares the palette and one fabric, while each keeps its own silhouette.

  • Pick one shared fabric, such as the plaid on scarves and bodies.
  • Plan sizes as a family: tall, medium, small, ornament.
  • Save each family to the brief so nothing is lost between conversations.

Good questions
make better briefs.

What buyers usually ask before requesting samples.

What can I change on a character? +

In this preview you can record colour, hat treatment, body fabric, requested height, quantity preference and notes. Shape details, accessories and labels can be written in the notes. Everything is confirmed through physical sampling.

Can reindeer, angels and ornaments be customised too? +

Yes, as references. Open a family, choose its palette and main fabric, and add it to your brief. Only the gnome has a live 3D preview here; the other families are illustrative.

Is the quantity a minimum order? +

No. The quantity field records what you have in mind so it can be discussed. This preview states no minimum order quantity, price or lead time.

How accurate is the height? +

It is a requested size between 8 and 100 cm. Real dimensions depend on the fabric, stuffing and construction and are confirmed on the sample.

How will colours be matched? +

Screen colours are a starting point only. Include a physical swatch, a colour reference code you already use, or a product you want to match, and approve colour on the sample.

What about safety or compliance requirements? +

Tell us the destination market and whether the piece is decoration or could be handled as a toy. Applicable requirements are identified for your order; this preview makes no certification claims.

Can I keep working on the brief later? +

Your brief is saved in this browser. Export JSON to keep a copy or move it to another computer, then import it again. Nothing is uploaded or sent.

What should I send with the brief? +

The downloaded HTML brief, your reference photos, the destination market, the season you are planning for and any packaging or labelling needs.
